~Columbia Zoo~

We took a little trip to Lafayette to visit the Columbia Zoo, which was free.  It was pretty small, but we really enjoyed our time there.  We also took a train ride around the park and then played on the playground for awhile!  To top it off, we stopped at Sonic for happy hour on the way home.

Grace, Aylah and Mike standing in front of the barn for the petting zoo.

Milking a cow.

Petting the goats.

Grace loved washing her hands.

Mike looking for groundhogs.

Grace and daddy looking at the kangaroos.

This water ball was probably Grace's favorite thing.  She thought the water was so neat.

Taking a little ride on the train.

Grace is saying "ha?", which translates "hot".

Playing in the sand after our visit to the zoo.

~Just Laying Around~

Aylah absolutely loves to hang out with her sister.  She is always helping her out and making things for them to do together.  This time, Aylah made a special place for them to "snuggle" on the couch.  Unfortunately, it didn't last too long.  Grace likes to do her own thing!

~Show Time~

Aylah loves to put on a show and she always has a very interesting audience.
Here she is snapping a few shots with the audience before she takes the stage.

~T.V. Check-Up~

I'm not sure where Aylah came up with the idea to give the t.v. a check up.  All I heard was, "Mom, come here.  You've got to hear this.  The t.v. does not sound right!"

~Flowers~

We've spent several days planting flowers in flower pots.
Grace really had fun filling up the pots with soil, then dumping it all out.

~Pipe Cleaners and a Colander~

Another fabulous idea from pinterest, sticking pipe cleaners in a colander.  They were just as much fun to take out as they were to put in.

~Chillin'~

I found Grace just chillin in her chair eating a chocolate donut that her sister had gotten for her.

~Coffee for Mommy~

Grace has enjoyed playing in the kitchen for a long time now.  Her favorite thing to do at this point, is make coffee for mommy (AKA: pushing the buttons that make noise).

~Apple Sandwich~

I found this yummy and very simple recipe on pinterest and thought I'd try it out with the girls and it was a big hit!  Apple, peanut butter and chocolate chip sandwiches.

Of course, since it has been beautiful outside, we eat practically every meal on our picnic table in the back yard.  Their favorite place!

~Cinco de Mayo~

Aylah dressed up in my mexican dress that I had when I was a little girl.  She wore it for most of the day and looked pretty adorable!

Then we ended the day with homemade sopapillas, which were quite delicious!

~Mother's Day~

The blessing of a mom, what more could one ask for!

These 2 make being a mom the best thing in the world!

25 weeks...this one is for you Carrie.

~Zebra Girls~

Thank you Nanae for the adorable little dresses and bows!
