~Worms~

Grace found a worm on our back porch and thought it was pretty cool.  She kept pointing so Aylah took it and tried to create a home for it in her bucket.  She played with it for a very long time, so much that I think it actually died before she got his home ready.

~Going to Church~

We took Caleb to church today, at almost 3 weeks old.  It was a special day for us, today was the day we changed the name of the church from Indian Heights Baptist Church to New Hope Church.  I actually was pretty impressed that all of us were ready and out the door and only 10 minutes late for church.
Caleb was in the nursery with Anita and Betty for the first time.

All of us at church.

Caleb is dressed in his little tie outfit, which is the first outfit Mike and I got for him when we found out he was a boy.
Everyone outside getting ready for the unveiling of the new church name and sign.

~Time with Daddy~

Daddy was officiating a wedding this weekend, so I braved up and decided to take the kids and myself with him, so we wouldn't have to stay home alone.  We all managed and did quite well.  It was Caleb's first road trip out of town, our first family road trip in the van and my first time to pack for a family of 5 for a day.  It was quite an adventure, we all survived and I'm glad we were able to go with daddy!
Caleb is spending time with daddy before he leaves for the wedding.

~Little Brother~

Caleb is 2 1/2 weeks old, with his big blue eyes open and looking around!

~Car on Top~

Aylah and Grace love to play outside together, especially on the trampoline.  I caught Aylah trying to get the car up on top of the trampoline and waited to see how long it would take her.  She worked hard for quite a while, until she finally realized it wasn't going to work.  Aylah is a very hard and determined worker.  She doesn't get frustrated very often, she just keeps trying!  We are very proud of her work ethic and her good attitude to keep trying and not give up!  However, I was glad when she decided the car on top of the trampoline was not a good idea!

~Sleepy Baby~

Caleb isn't sleeping very well, but he sure does love to sleep on his tummy!  If I let him sleep on his tummy, he'll sleep for a long time.  I propped him up on his boppy and he slept for a few hours in this position, while I worked around the house.

~Caleb in the Bouncer~

Soon after Caleb spent some time on his play mat, we headed to the bouncer.  He was pretty content in the bouncer as well.  He stayed there for almost an hour.  We'll see if it stays that way.
Caleb is 11 days old.

Aylah sneaking in to take a picture with her brother, that she loves oh so much!

~Caleb Laying on the Playmat~

This is Caleb's first time laying on the playmat.  He really enjoyed his time there, but I think it was because all the loving he was getting from his sisters.

He certainly enjoys the kisses he gets from his sister.

Aylah absolutely loves her brother and wants to be with him all the time.

~Grace's First Haircut~

I have trimmed Grace's hair a few times myself, but it was definitely time for her to have a real haircut.  Grace's hair was a little wild and out of control.  She sat so still and was very proud to be doing something so special all by herself.
Sweet little Grace is 21 months old.

~Caleb in the Swing~

This is Caleb's first time in the swing.  He likes it a lot unless he looses the pacifier or starts moving his arms around and wakes himself up.  He doesn't stay asleep very long.  The hardest part is keeping Grace away from the swing when he is in it.  She wants to cover him completely up with a blanket or pick him up.

~Grace Loves the Bike Trailor~

Daddy has been so wonderful and has spent a lot of special time taking care of the girls since we have been home from the hospital.  He took Grace for a ride in the bike trailor for the first time and she loved it!  She rode just like this the entire time...I would say she was quite content.

~Caleb's out of the House~

This is Caleb's first time out of the house since we have been home.  We went to the hospital to have his one week check up.  He looked great and slept the whole time he was in his car seat.

Caleb is 6 days old and weighs 7 lb. 10 oz.

~Daddy's Favorite Draft Pick~

This cute little shirt was the perfect outfit for little Caleb to wear on daddy's football draft day.  I would say for sure he is daddy's favorite draft pick!

~Grace the Artist~

Grace loves to color, just like her sister.  However, I think the infatuation is actually taking the lids on and off rather than actually coloring.

Grace has been working real hard at putting the lid back on when she is finished with the marker.  We have to push until it makes a "pop" sound.

~Caleb has some Visitors~

Mike's family came to visit us on Sunday afternoon so they could meet little Caleb!

Uncle Gary and Aunt Lisa snuggling with Caleb.

~Grace~

Grace loves sitting in Aylah's rocking chair all the time.

Grace is having a little snack after church.  She actually wore this dress for Easter when she was 6 months old.

~Caleb Going Home~

Caleb is in his car seat for the first time, getting ready to head home.

Daddy is putting Caleb in the car.

Daddy getting ready to go inside our home.

Mommy getting ready to take Caleb inside his home for the first time.

Aylah and grandma are anxiously waiting for us to arrive!

Aylah, mommy and Caleb...we're home!

Aylah loves to hold her brother and that is the very first thing she wanted to do when we got home.

Such a proud sister.

We gave the girls a gift each night that we were in the hospital and these alphabet stickers were one of them.  Aylah was so nice to make a welcome home sign for her brother.

Caleb sleeping in his bassinet for the first time.

We came home from the hospital on Thursday, August 23.  It was a little challenging, since I wasn't sure if I was ready to come home with the headache I had, plus they waited until shift change before they started the discharge process.  We finally got home around 11:00 pm that night.  Aylah was so excited to see him and wanted to hold him all night.  Caleb didn't sleep very well that night, but we made it through his first night at home.
