~Diaper?~

On Monday's, I usually let Aylah watch her Psalty videos all morning while I clean the house. Today was no different, expect when I walked in to the living room to check on her, she had no diaper on. I asked her where it was as I began searching through the whole house looking for a diaper. I finally went back to her and said, "Aylah, where is your diaper?" She answered, "trash"! So, I went to the trash can and sure enough, there is was, right on top!

~Laundry~

Aylah has been a great helper around the house. It sure does make cleaning a lot more fun, when you have a super great helper like sweet Aylah!

~Good Morning~

Breakfast time!

~Pretty Toes~

Yesterday was the first time I attempted to paint Aylah's toenails. She did pretty good and now we both have "pretty toes"!

~Tomatoe Basil Yummy~

Today, I conquered a terrible fear I've had for a very long time. You see, I'm not the best cook on the block even though I certainly do try. It's because of this, that I stick to recipe books step by step with complete and accurate measurements.
We've been so blessed by many people who share their home grown produce with us and obviousely right now is the time for tomatoes. I've been so thankful for this, because Aylah absolutely loves tomatoes and I haven't had to buy any for a while now. However, I think she might be getting a little tired of them and they were starting to pile up in our fridge. So today, Mike had a lunch appointment which left me with tomatoes and a pan. Ladies and gentlemen, I made my very own tomatoe basil pasta with all my own measurements, in fact, I didn't even really measure, I just started dumping things in. Just let me tell you, watch out Olive Garden, I might be the next big chef in town (only with this one recipe of course)!

~Waiting for Brooklyn~

Aylah knew Brooklyn was on her way to our house one morning, so she planted herself in the chair next to the window and waited for her ...

...arrival!

~Blinds~

Mike and I walked in to Aylah's room a few days ago and found her opening and closing her blinds...

~Happy Father's Day~

I made these cheesecake balls for Mike on father's day. Thanks to a good ole' pal named Bakerella!
These are pictures from father's day. I know they all look alike, but I just can't pick my favorites!

Aylah is giving her daddy a kiss, but making sure mommy is watching closely!

Just in case you were wanting a close peak at the cute shoes Aylah is wearing in these pics...

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

We love you so much and are so thankful for you!

Thank you meme for the adorable outfit! It sure is beautiful on Belle, but then again, what isn't?!

~Pool Time~

Aylah sure does love swimming. I almost think she likes wearing her "nemo" swimming diapers more than swimming.

~Being Silly~

Aylah had her ear appointment a few days ago to make sure her tubes are still in and the nurse gave her a unicorn sticker (that she kept for 2 days and even slept with it).
So this is Aylah sporting a unicorn horn, it's just not as straight and pointy.
Dancing to her Psalty videos.
Aylah loves playing dress up with her hats.

~Mother of 8~

I read this on a blog that I read and thought it was so neat and very true!

A quote

from A Reforming Mom by Shannon
I recently found this comment by a mother of 8. I could not have said it better myself:

I am a mother of eight, but it’s not because I am Super Mom. It’s not because I was born with some rare gift that makes me capable of mothering a large family. It’s because this family God has seen fit to give me has shaped and changed me into the person I am today. It’s because God sends challenges and then follows up those challenges with the graces you need to get through them. Always.I can live this imperfect life with eight imperfect children, not because I am awesome, but because God is.

~Aylah's Addiction~

Aylah is what we call 468,352% addicted to her pacifier! This has become her best friend day in and day out. Mike and I have been talking about the need to at least minimize the time Aylah and Paci are spending together. So, this morning when Aylah woke up, I told her that she is really starting to become a big girl and I was so proud of her and that she has learned and accomplished. So Aylah, mommy is going to leave Paci in the bed until it's nap time because big girls do not need Paci while they are playing. Then I very gently took Paci and placed it in her bed and gave it to "puppy" so he could take care of it while we were out playing happily, right?...WRONG!!!
I'm sorry to say that after 25 minutes of crying as if her bff had fallen off the face of the earth, laying on the floor with complete heartache, and looking at me with the deepest sincere thoughts of "Please mommy, can I have Paci, I might die if I don't have it" and yes that is what she really said:), I gave in and we went to wake up Paci and the reunion begin.

Then tonight when I opened the car door to get Aylah out, she made this really loud ha, ha, ha laugh with these 2 paci's in her mouth. I think she is making up for lost time.
I think we are going to try Laura's way, and spend time praying about this first! Cold turkey wasn't the easiest on Aylah or mommy!

Yes, one of these paci's is Sam's. He let us have one when Aylah lost hers last time we were visiting him.
