~Car Seat~

It is time for Aylah to get a new car seat. She has outgrown her infant seat, so.... I need some help. Can anyone tell me why these things range from $59 to over $300? What exactly am I suppose to be looking for here? Obviousely, I don't need the car seat with speakers (yes, they have car seats with speakers)...but I would like your opinion on what you liked, didn't like or what you wish you had as far as features, brand etc...

Thanks in advance for your help.

We bought 2 carseats when we were ready for A to move up. We bought this Graco one for her Daddy's car:

It was more reasonably priced, not the cheapest one on the market, and not terribly ugly. I like it. The only thing about it was, you couldn't install it facing backwards, which I didn't know when I bought it, and created a bit of a problem because we needed it before she was one.

We also bought the more expensive Britax for my car:

I just thought it had better padding for when we went on longer road trips and it holds up to 65 pounds. So, I thought we could transfer it to the next kids and move her to a booster, or she could keep this one until she's like 5 years old.

We were given the Evenfl Triumph at a Baby shower, after having to install it a few times myelf and washing the cover twice, it was clear...I hated it. We went with the Britax Marsthon as well. I love, love, love it. If William wasn't ale to go to a booster we'd buy another for Luke but he can just use William's.

We have a Britax Marathon. I love it! It fits Bella perfectly since she is so petite. I won't lie to you. It's a little pricey, but I think well worth it. It has wonderful ratings and is easy to move from car to car. We had my parents pay for part of it as part of her birthday present. That helped us out on the price.

Well the Britax's are a lot more expensive but they have some of the best ratings for safety. We first moved Coop to a Graco (I think) and honestly it seemed to wear down quickly and I just wasn't crazy about it. Our first long car drive from Houston to Ok we ran and bought the Britax and now that's all I'll buy!
