Isn't this picture totally appropriate for the time of year.

This is Mike and I carving pumpkins for the first time as a married couple. At this time, we were living in Fort Worth, Texas while Mike was attending seminary and I was teaching 2nd grade at Crowley. Boy am I glad those days are over (even though I enjoyed every second at the time) and now moved on to things like being a mommy!!!

The pumpkins turned out to look a little something like....

This is the year the Chicago White Sox won the World Series (we were there for that game)!

~Mom's Got Talent~

I can officially blow dry my hair and put my makeup on at the same time. If you think deeply about that-you'll realize that you usually use the same hand to do both (if you are right handed-you would use your right hand to blow dry your hair and your right hand to put your makeup on too). So to complete the 2 tasks at the same time, means that you are using both hands...and that my friends is a talent to me. That is only after having 1 child. Imagine the possibilities with more children.

~11 Months Old~

Aylah took her first step last Sunday--the youth group saw it--her parents did not :(

This Sunday Aylah took 2 steps--mommy and daddy saw it :)

Today she took 6 steps-she looked like a sweet little duck waddling her way across the room.

Way to go Aylah!

Did anyone notice the piece of wood in the middle of the floor? That would be there because our SuperWoman daughter actually tore it off the floor. Either we did a bad job at nailing the board down-or she is really strong.

~10 Months Old~

Uh...mommy-is that Kisses climbing the fence and running away again?

If any of you are scratching your head thinking---"I sure thought Aylah was almost 11 months old, not 10 months" --well-you deserve a prize for keeping up with her age (so buy yourself a treat next time you're out and about). She is almost 11 months old but I'm really late posting pictures.

~Corn Maze~

Nothing like going to a corn maze when you live in Indiana!

These are families from our church-we all went to a candy/corn maze last week-had a bonfire-hotdogs-popcorn-face painting-and of couse a hayride!

Aylah loves making these noises....her daddy really got her going (OU was winning at this point).

I bought Aylah a snack bowl which kept her quite entertained during the OU/Texas football game. She is trying to get pieces of a waffle out.

~Happy 16th~

~So Much Fun~

This has been such a wonderful weekend. Aylah loved the waterpark. It was awesome just to walk out of our hotel room and walk down to the waterpark. So fun-this will make for a fun girls weekend with the kiddos one day:)

If you watch the video closely, you can see the shadow of the tube going down the waterslide. Would you believe that it's my husband and daughter?!?!

Mike said she just looked from side to side all the way down the slide. That's my Belle...quite the observer.

Does it take anyone else out there at least 24 hours straight to pack for a weekend trip? What's wrong with me?

On another note:

I had someone read my blog that isn't in my immediate group of bestest friends. It made my day-thanks Michele. You're little girl is adorable and your house is awesome! I love all that cute furniture.

~Happy October~

Aylah is now 10 months old...can you believe her birthday is only 2 months away! She's doing great. Talking all the time. It's so fun trying to figure out what she is saying. She is a fast crawler, especially if she is after something she shouldn't be (like playing in the toilet) and knows you are coming after her. Boy, she can pick up the pace...only to stop right before she arrives at her "no, no" destination, to turn around and give you a great big smile. We love her so much it's crazy.

I've started a workout competition with my friend Stephanie. The couple that attends the most workout classes in the next 8 weeks wins a free membership. It's been a blast, but after not working out for 2 years to taking 2 classes a day has been pretty interesting. Today-we went to Zumba!!! If you haven't taken this class you are missing out. It was awesome.

We are leaving Friday to go to Lake Geneva for a wedding that Michael is in. We are staying with 2 other couples in the same room so we can afford this hotel with a waterpark inside. The funny part is...it actually turns out to be the same price as staying in the Super 8. Happy early birthday present Aylah!

I don't post pictures anymore because it takes at least 12 hours for kodak to even come up on my screen-so as soon as I get that deleted and get a new program the pictures will be up and running again.

We put an underground electric fence in today. Kisses actually climbs the fence, just like a human so we had to do something...and this has been our last resort. After she has brought home a rabbit, possum, birds, squirrels and any other creature she finds...we thought it's definitely time to put a stop to this.

It's cold here. Low 60's during the day and 40's at night. Burr...I can't believe winter is right around the corner.
